Bayern International GmbH was founded in 1996 by the Free State of Bavaria as part of the “Future Bavaria Initiative” (Offensive Zukunft Bayern). Since then, it has independently carried out operational responsibilities within Bavaria’s foreign trade promotion activities under the Bayern International brand and Bavaria’s investment promotion activities under the Invest in Bavaria brand.
Its offices are located in Munich, Hof, and Nuremberg.

For nearly three decades, Bayern International has been a key player in Bavaria’s international trade promotion efforts. Working closely with the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Bayern International organizes numerous projects around the world each year.
